If your answer is yes to any of the above, then the "Discovering the Artist Within" classes are for you. You do not need any painting or drawing skills. All you need is a playful attitude, an open mind, and a desire to create something new and different using new methods and some new materials. We will not be painting from a still life and we will not be copying any artwork created by another artist.

We will be creating paintings that may fall into the abstract and/or non-objective category of painting that is highly popular as a means to creating innovative works of art. It is also a method of expressing your own unique personality and incorporating it into your artwork.

This form of art is frequently called "Experimental Art" It is fast becoming highly recognized as one of the latest methods to create original works of art. Some competitions have a separate category for "Experimental Art." There are several art societies in the nation devoted exclusively to Experimental Art.

Hopefully, at the end of each painting session, you will have a completed painting to take with you, to have framed or not, and to hang in your home or not.
